Ace fashion designer Manish Malhotra showcased his couture collection titled ‘Portraits’ at Shree Rajmahal Jewellers India Couture Week 2014. The collection captures a girl in her most intense and beautiful moment – when she is a portrait of perfection, when she becomes a bride. The collection aimed at lavish and bling studded nuptial affairs featured plenty of heavily zari embroidered bridal ensembles that were hand crafted by Kashmiri master craftsmen. Manish Malhotra smartly styled his models with regal nose rings by Shree Raj Mahal Jewellers.

Models clad in head to toe gold dust ensembles with adundance of mirror and gota embroidery sashayed down the beautiful ramp decorated with dimly lit flickering candles. A variety of collar details including peter pan, polo necks and Manish Malhotra’s signature low cut back with elaborate ivory thread-work were teamed with vintage shoes in old gold. Vintage golden hues paved way for rich jewel tones of ruby and old emerald. The menswear range consisting of bandhgalas and sherwanis with exquisite hand embroidery were pristinely tailored.

Bollywood starts including Huma Qureshi, Urmila Matondkar, Aditya Roy Kapoor and Alia Bhatt walked the runway for this celebrated fashion designer.
