3 Ways To Wear Greys – Men’s AW15 Fashion Trend

Following up with GQ India‘s Men’s AW15 fashion trend report which listed greys as one of the biggest colour trend of the season, I decided to compile a style article on sporting the neutral shade. Greys, a shade that’s traditionally considered as not the most fashion forward trend for autumn/winters has emerged as the biggest colour trend of the season with modern and urban styling options. Read on to know how to rock greys this autumn/winter 2015 season without looking bland or boring.

If greys are the most popular colour choice of the season, thanks to neo-70s revival, checks are the most sought after choice in pattern. Make heads turn on your arrival at board meetings by donning a grey suit with windowpane checks. Stay away from bold windowpane patterns and instead opt for more subtle and sleek variations to avoid looking like you’re at a retro themed costume party. Last but not the least, apart from black formal footwear, don’t hesitate to don brown shoes that match the shade of your grey suit.

When you are creating an ensemble with different separates in grey, you often run the risk of coming across as boring. Not everyone can pull off a head-to-toe grey ensembles. Key to work this look is by breaking the monotony of greys by mixing up different textures. In the image above, knit grey melange jumper is matched with woven/felt woolen coat. In one of my previous grey outfit post, I paired a raw textured grey khadi kurta with grey trousers.

Normcore hangover? May be the term is apt in Western countries but the iconic Normcore fashion tribes of mid-2010s are still ruling the ramp and streets in Indian fashion circuit. Find liberation by blending in rather than standing out. Wear greys with simple blacks or your favourite denims to work a trendy and stylish normcore look.
