Greyscale – Mens AW15 Fashion Trend

Right now I take pride in my trend forecasting abilities. I posted an article titled ‘10 Shades of Grey‘ earlier in March this year when the AW15 shows have just rolled out. Today when I pick up GQ India September issue, grey is listed as one of the biggest fashion trend of this season.
If I was a colour, I’d be one in among the tints and shades of black and white. Fashion fraternity has often commented that grey may not be the the most groundbreaking trend for autumn/winter but for a change, designers want you to wear greys this season. The coolest guys in fashion runway sported every available shades of grey. So go ahead and feel free to desaturate the colours in your wardrobe this season. This versatile and subdued hue comes with understated and classic styling options for AW15. Given my personal flair for greys and revival of the shade in fashion runways, I decided to put together a head-to-toe grey ensemble for the first outfit post of this autumn/winter 2015 season.

Mixing different textures of Grey

Instead of wearing the regular grey shirt I wore a grey kurta which was tucked in from the front, for a high-low hem effect. The kurta is paired with comfortable loafers, round rim glasses and men’s tote. The tote is arguably the most fashion forward men’s accessory and can work even at corporate ambiance. However, what really keeps the look from being bland is the mix of in textures. The kurta has a raw khadi texture while the trousers have a smooth and glossy sheen. The two textures come together to break up the monotony of greys and create a trendy urban attire that is apt for mild Chennai winters.
