The aesthetics showcased by Antar Agni at #JabongLFW stage on day one at Lakme Fashion Week were strangely coinciding with my own design sensibilities. The collection in neutral charcoal tones was an effortless fusion of East and West in terms of silhouettes. Fashion Designer Ujjwal Dubey draws inspiration from emotional imbalances which is depicted through the details, surface, colors and drapes with the use of natural fabrics like heavy cottons, linens, chambray accompanied by leather and metal details. Fluid draped tunics and trousers were tastefully combined with plaids, blazers, ankle length boots and round frame John Lennon glasses. The showstopper clad in grey-black ensemble sported a beard very much like the fashion designer himself – it reinstates how much the designer’s aesthetics reflects his own personality.
