5TH ANNIVERSARY
As of April 2014, the blog
Purushu Arie celebrates its 5th anniversary. I take this opportunity to thank all my readers, the brands and PR that I’ve worked with, friends and family for giving me endless love and support. You folks are the fuel that keeps me and this blog running.
To mark the 5th anniversary, I decided to come up with a new article idea and blog about something that I haven’t done before. Something that every other fashion blogger does but I haven’t in last 5 years – An outfit post! For the first time in last five years, I decided to leave behind the endless trend analysis, reviews and other essays on fashion history and instead collaborate with Sammy Dress for my first ever outfit post.
SAMMY DRESS – GLOBAL FASHION RETAILERS
Be it designers like Rei Kawakubo and Yamamoto or street fashion like that in Korea and Japan – There is just something about the Eastern sense of style that has always appealed to my intellect, to the point that my
NIFT graduate collection borrows heavily from Eastern cuts and silhouettes.
But when it comes to shopping the same from here in India, there are not many options available since Indian retail fashion is not very experimental. After some research in internet, I was directed to Sammydress.com – An online fashion retailer, who delivers their products to customers all across the globe at low wholesale price. Sammy Dress has stocked young and experimental styles for both men and women. The street style inspired pieces in particular caught my attention and I immediately decided to collaborate with them for my first outfit post.
MENS FRIDAY DRESSING WITH KOREAN STREET STYLE INFLUENCE
The ensemble fuses the corporate Friday dressing look with Korean street style influence. Black shirt with extended placket is paired with Korean street inspired black trousers with over-lapping front. The royal blue blazer breaks the monotony and adds an element of colour, focus and boldness to the ensemble.

Last but not the least, I sincerely thank my colleague Omkar who took these photographs.
