8 Fall/Winter COATS that I love
The best of fall/winter coats includes 3.1 Phillip Lim, Acne, Burberry Prorsum, Carven, Celine, Haider Ackermann and Stella McCartney.
While 3.1 Phillip Lim and Stella McCartney can be noted for their pristine tailoring, the latter tipped on the ‘menswear-for-women’ trend. Winter coats from Celine and Acne had a bold pop of mustard, a big trend of the season. Acne’s drop shoulders make it look effortless and comfortbale while Celine’s narrow shapes leave an impact of minimalism.
3.1 Phillip Lim follows the guidelines of classic fall/winter wardrobe. There’s nothing that is forced or looks cluttered. Below-the-knee length winter coat is simple and sophisticated.
The ochre yellow coat from Acne looks bold while the drop shoulders make it look effortless and comfortable.
Christopher Bailey of Burberry Prorsum is such genius. He delivers it yet again. Plaids never looked this beautiful before. Purple is such a beautiful POP colour for winters.
The best thing about this coat from Carven is the shearling shoulders.
At the moment, Phoebe Philo of Celine is undoubtedly one the best at what she does. Celine’s winter coats are spotlessly tailored and how come one not fall in love with these narrow shaped coats? My favourite pick from the collection is this mustard coat with narrow lapel collar.
Haider Ackermann‘s winter coat has a strong outgoing look.
Stella McCartney whom I’d call ‘the Queen’ of British runway, delivered the infamous collection making polka dots a hit overnight. The winter coats with pristine tailoring deserves a mention as they tip on the ‘borrowing-from-man’s-wardrobe trend’. This white shawl collared coat looks feminine and sexy. The length adds to the fluidity.
