Best and Worst Dressed – Emmy 2010

Minimalism emerged as a big trend in the autumn (fall)/winter 2010 ramps and the same was reflected in the awards. Most outfits were neat and simple in nude, white and dull colour palette with obvious exceptions. Some outfits worth talking about…

Claire Danes
The outstanding lead actress winner looked stunning in simple strapless embellished Armani Prive. The outfit is simple yet opulent and her hair and face add to the grace.

Emily Deschanel
Her purple layered Max Azira Atelier looks stunning, especially the beautifully layered bodice inspired from petals.

Heidi Klum
Short? So what? HOT! She proved her sense of style by matching the sexy Marchesa dress with Lorraine Schwartz jewellery.

Jennifer Carpenter
Metallic wonder! Thumbs up to this single strap full sleeve metallic dress. This is one of my favourite look. Nice to see new designers like Oday Shankar dressing red carpet stars with such grace and elegance.

Nina Dobrev
NINAAAAAAA! MARRY MEEEE! 😀 The draped asymmetrical peach gown totally complements her figure. Her hair, those dangling earrings…. love you!

Dianna Agron
You look pretty dear. Taking a second look… Elegantly combed up hair, the layered grey lace gown and the motifs are completely overshadowed by that bow hanging there! Do share the secret behind the bow with us.

Anna Paquin
Not easiest of task to carry Alexander McQueen’s red carpet gowns. Anna Paquin is has got it all wrong for choosing this military inspired gown with irrelevant drapes exposing her knees! Worst dressed of Emmy 2010?

January Jones
The good: Beautiful surface treatment.
The bad: Wrong silhouette and colour.

Kelly Osbourne

Kyra Sedgewick
She’s all in smiles as she won the outstanding lead actress in a drama series award for “The Closer”. May be she was in hurry to collect the award and totally forgot doing her hair.

Lauren Graham
Asymmetry gone wrong in every way!
