Vintage Allure!

Inspirational posts seems to stumble one after the other when I’ve got absolutely nothing to do but sit in front of my computer desktop all the day. I finally made up my mind to blog a little on classic vintage stuff after going through some sensuous vintage flicks shot by my friend Manuja who is also a fashion photography student.

Its a very moody ambience taking us back to the 1940s-50s romanticism. Nevertheless to say, the giant white brooch compliments the peach dress in every possible way. Retro romanticism!

Gracious!

Fashion has been more of a revolution over the last few centuries. Unplanned…. it just happened and will continue to happen. In 2000s fashion was more inspired from science and technology going futuristic with sci-fi inspiration mostly borrowed elements from past, like the current 90s neon trend or the 80s pointed shoulders. 2010 seems a promising revival of 90s and 70s trends.
One such favourite decade has been the 60s. Young, gay and formidable Mary Quant literally revolutionized the global fashion with the invention on mini skirts. The following shots again are inspired from the 60s mini-madness and the mid 80s grunge poster girl fashion.
