Runway Report – Manish Arora Ready-To-Wear Spring/Summer 2010, Paris Fashion Week

In order to construct outfits that are more wearable, designers have been producing what’s not their stuff. Even brands like Issey Miyakey and Gucci brings out something like this:

And, Nina Ricci showcases something like this:

I am seriously proud of Manish Arora who showed his bravery in this collection. His Spring/Summer 2010 collection, showcased in Milan Fashion Week proved typical Manish Arora. It wasn’t as bold as his previous collection. But it’s once again more dramatic and theatrical. Here’s his entire collection. Flamboyant and adventurous!

Body chains sparkled, head and shoulder pieces added to the dramatic saga. Flashy orange and hot pink were encrusted to neutral colour palette in draped jumpsuits and gown. Surface texture and embellishments were something to note.

Bright orange  has been judiciously used to create hot prints and pleats.
Brilliant surface texture!

Smart shoes and headgear.

Hints of flashy orange and hot pink  in a neutral palette.

Geometric swirls. As usual, in Manish’s style. Geometric prints and cuts.

Emphasized shoulder. Warrior woman with hints of sequins and other metallic embellishments.

Proud of you, Manish.
